La Charmence is ideally located: You stay in a quiet place to fully enjoy all activities: skiing, hiking or mountain biking. In the winter, the good skiers will be able to leave and return to ski directly to the lodgings, joining the nearest slope. In the summer, the hamlet is the starting point for many hiking and cycling trips. The GR50 is situated 200m away. Water sports and trout fishing can be practiced nearby. In the winter season, Serre Chevalier Valley offers a great skiable area, coupled with Montgenèvre Valley and Sestrière Valley—in Italy—Puy Saint-Vincent, and a beautiful area for the cross-country skiing in the valley nearby, as Nevache. Mountaineering, downhill, cross-country skiing or hiking: there’s something for everyone.
In the summer season, exceptional mountain hikes for everyone, families and advanced, hiking trails in the Ecrins Mountains, the Meije, the Mont Thabot and the beautiful Clarée Valley.
Amazing walks really close to the lodge. You can see small chapels and high mountains with “via ferrata” for all levels. Cycling and mountain biking, you have many circuits in the mountains or in quiet roads. You can also fish for trout in the surrounding rivers. Finally, Briançon is a very beautiful historical city, to visit absolutely!
